Betsy McLary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges. Originally from Ohio, she moved to Long Island, New York, in 1982 and earned her Master of Social Work degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998.

 

Throughout her career, Betsy has worked in acute care settings, case management, and private practice psychotherapy. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults seeking support for grief and loss, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, pain management, and LGBTQ+ issues. Betsy is committed to providing a compassionate, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can feel supported as they work toward healing and personal growth.

 

In 2024, Betsy relocated to Roanoke, Virginia, where she quickly fell in love with the area's natural beauty and welcoming community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wife and pets. Together they enjoy horseback riding, exploring the outdoors, and off-road adventures whenever the opportunity arises.
